These studies are intended to sharpen selected aspects of trio/ensemble technique and to offer the opportunity to display that technique in concert presentation.

Triple Fipple Ripple (AAA) - Short statements and answers tell a brief story together and then veer off and become a campfire song.

Serenity Now (TTB) - A zen-like E Major triad, alone like a single candle in still air, puts the listener in a meditative trance. Good intonation and breath control as well as soft invisible articulations when unisons overlap in staggered entrances.

Cauldron Bubble (ATB) - This piece alludes to Shakespeare's Macbeth, Act IV, Scene 1, line 35, "Double, double toil and trouble, Fire burn and cauldron bubble."

Clicky Bass BACH Canon (BBB) - Three equal instruments playing exactly the same line two measures apart are punctuated by rhythmic “pop” sounds by clicking the keys on the bass, popping the holes with the pad of your fingers, or anything else you can think of.
